ICOHNM News:
The Interfaith Coalition on Homelessness hosts a presentation by Dr. Eric Ketcham, addiction medicine specialist and ER physician, at 5:30 p.m., Aug. 13, at the Unitarian Church of LA, in the Fellowship Hall.
Dr. Ketcham will share about the outpatient clinic opening in Española later this month.
Questions that Dr. Ketcham addresses:
- What would happen if a large state-of-the-art addictions treatment center opened in Española, one using the most effective, evidence-based treatment?
- What if it had 5+ providers and could treat 1900 separate patients per year from across Northern New Mexico?
- What if it provided support to all rural Presbyterian hospitals statewide regarding addictions treatment?
- How many addiction-associated problems might that large clinic help alleviate in our area in the next few years? Those include homelessness, thefts, overdoses, child neglect, divorces, suicides, family schisms, business failures, etc.
