COMMUNITY News:
Kate Stoddard was hospitalized on Friday and has a long road to recovery. What started as a leg infection has left her unable to walk and at times unable to sit up.
She was transferred from LAMC to Lovelace in Albuquerque and a move to a third hospital is under consideration. As many trips for husband Neil between LA to Albuquerque and friends helping to care for her children, a plan for helping is afoot.
This Saturday, the First Baptist Church of Los Alamos will allow a Bake Sale and Pack the Pantry event in their parking lot from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. The church is located at 2200 Diamond Drive.
Champions of Youth Ambitions will collect non-perishable items for the family of four and don’t forget the dogs and cats. Gift cards that can be used for food or gas alongside a bake sale to boost spirits will off-set many costs. Those unable to attend can send donations to C’YA at PO Box 4741 White Rock, NM 87547. You may call or text 505.695.9139 or email cya.org@att.net .
Information is also available on the C’YA Facebook page at Champions of Youth Ambitions. Prayers are appreciated by Kate and her family.
