LAPS News:
Free after-school Good News Clubs in the elementary schools are starting the week of Aug. 22.
Each club meets from right after school (3:30 p.m.) to 5 p.m.
Good News Clubs are non-denominational Bible clubs meeting once a week after school from late August through the end of April, except on holidays, parent conference days, and snow days.
The clubs feature Bible and missionary stories, songs, games, snacks, Scripture memory, contests, prizes and occasional crafts to promote children’s educational, spiritual and character development.
Locations and days:
- Aspen School library, Mondays starting Aug. 22;
- Barranca School music room, Tuesdays starting Aug. 23;
- Chamisa School library, Thursdays starting Aug. 25;
- Mountain School room 404 (Mrs. Schafer), Mondays starting Aug. 22; and
- Pinon School room 604 (Ms. Schake), Mondays starting Aug. 22.
