Celebrating her first year anniversary, Alicia Abeyta describes finding her dream job at Enterprise Bank & Trust.

“I saw banking as an opportunity to work somewhere that would allow me to expand and advance my career and thought why not apply at Enterprise Bank & Trust, I loved that it is the town bank,” Abeyta said. “I enjoyed my initial job as a teller so much and shortly after my first six months I was promoted to financial service representative, which I love.”

Abeyta said she found that her values match the values of Enterprise Bank.

“I put members and customers first, collaborate and communicate openly, foster diversity and treat everyone with respect and act with integrity, just as Enterprise Bank does,” she said.

Enterprise Bank & Trust Los Alamos Region President Liddie Martinez said, “Alicia has brought joy to the lobby. It is such a pleasure to see customers smiling and enjoying her friendly service. It is clear that she loves her work and her happiness is contagious.”

What does Abeyta find most enjoyable about her job?

“Definitely my co-workers, getting to know the community and building relationships with my customers,” she said. “I also love that Enterprise Bank has a home feeling and really supports work-life balance.”

Abeyta explained that what she finds most challenging is overcoming her own self doubt.

“I know that I know the answer but sometimes I still go ask my manager just for verification,” she said. “But  that’s happening less and less. I want the community to know that I am dedicated to serving them with their banking needs to the very best of my ability.”

Abeyta reports to Enterprise Bank & Trust Los Alamos Branch Manager Nadine Martinez.

“Alicia has just recently completed a year with Enterprise Bank & Trust and I have seen Alicia grow in her career from a teller to a financial services representative,” Martinez said. “She is very personable and has a fun-loving personality. She has a way of making the clients feel good about themselves and happy to come back to meet with her time and time again.”

Abeyta was born and raised in Ohkay Owingeh and graduated from Española Valley High School. She and her partner Jewelious have a young daughter named Avielle Jade. They also have a husky named Grimace.

“My family members are the ones who inspire me to proceed in life and accomplish all of my dreams,” Abeyta said. “In my spare time I love spending time with them, going fishing and off-roading.
