Anderson & Geimer Tie For Best Predictor In Pace Race

ACRR News:

Eric Anderson and Paul Geimer along with months old Iris Geimer had a tie for top predictor honors in the weekly pace race held at Pinion (Rocket) Park in White Rock at 9 seconds off their predicted time. 

Anderson was also the first finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 20:24.

Other accurate predictors were:

  • Jan Velechovsky with a 16 second differential;
  •  Alex Smeltzer, 2, with his father Ryan recording a 21 second difference;
  • David Kunsberg at 33 seconds off; and
  • Catherine Hensley with a 36 second differential.

On the 1 mile course Holly Walker was the best finisher at 7:37 and the first male finisher was Steve Daly recording a 10:57.

Nikol Strother was the top female finisher in the 3 mile distance with a time of 26:07.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 and at the Canada Bonito Trailhead on Camp May Road just past the ski hill lodge on the opposite side of the road.

1 mile paved and trail runs and 3 mile trail run will be available.
