Daily Postcard: Being in the right place at the right time and being prepared are cornerstones of wildlife photography. Jonathan and Tessa Dowell of Los Alamos were enjoying the sunset view across Pueblo Canyon this week when they heard a couple of Say’s Phoebes calling from a juniper tree below. Jonathan swung his spotting scope around to try to get a look, but the first bird in the viewfinder was definitely not a Say’s Phoebe.
