COUNTY News:
The Los Alamos County Art in Public Places (APP) Board is seeking public comment on proposed art for the new Leisure Lagoon at the Aquatic Center on Canyon Road.
The proposed art created by Amanda Jaffe is a collection of five ceramic panels constructed by multiple smaller individual ceramic tiles. The panels represent various wet weather and water.

Mesa Public Library’s Step Up Gallery Hosts 25th Annual Los Alamos Photographers’ Show

STEP UP GALLERY News:
The Los Alamos Photo Club is hosting its 25th Annual Show through Oct. 22 in Step Up Gallery at Mesa Public Library.
In addition to highlighting current work of Los Alamos Photo Club members, the opportunity was given to other photographers who live or work in the Los Alamos area to enter the exhibit as well.
The exhibit includes a wide variety of approaches to photography and subjects ranging from expansive landscape vistas to wild animals, exotic vegetation and flowers, international portraits to airshow action photos.

NMFO: Feature Film Outlaw Land In Production In State

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Film Office Friday announced the feature film Outlaw Land, produced by Keystone Films LLC, has begun production in New Mexico.
Filming will take place during September and October 2021 in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
“There is no place but New Mexico to tell the old western tale of Butch Cassidy. Ranches, western sets, wild horses, vast stunning deserts with train tracks that wind with the landscape, New Mexico is and has always been the place to shoot a western,” NMFO Director Amber Dodson said.
