The Neverending Story opens Jan. 10 at the Los Alamos Little Theatre Performing Arts Center, 1670 Nectar St.

Ten percent of profits from this production will be donated to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New New Mexico.

The Neverending Story is produced by Elisa Enriquez and directed by Mimi Adams. The story surrounds Bastian, a lonely, bullied boy, longing for love and acceptance. He escapes to his school attic with The Neverending Story, a book he “borrowed” from a peculiar book shop.

Christmas Tree Skirt Creators In Washington, D.C.

Zena Thomas, left, and Micki Taylor of Los Alamos traveled to Washington, D.C. to see the Christmas Tree Skirt, that they created with Roberta Day Idzorek, for the USDA Building. Thomas is holding a copy of the Los Alamos Daily Post with the story of their Christmas Tree Skirt making adventure (link). Thomas and Taylor attended a special reception and lighting of the tree Dec. 4, also attended by Smokey Bear celebrating his 75th birthday, Carson National Forest Supervisor James Duran, Singer Chevel Sheperd from Farmington who sang two songs, Arroyo Seco 4th grader Asher Dean who won the 2019 U.S.

On display this month in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree from the Red River area in the Questa Ranger District of the Carson National Forest in New Mexico is by far the most impressive tree with its 11,000 ornaments created by New Mexicans.
