LASO’s Annual Holiday Concert Saturday Dec. 14
Santa’s Helper Emmitt Tibbitts and his mother violist Wendi Dressen prepare for the Los Alamos Symphony Orchestra Holiday Concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 in the Crossroads Bible Church. The concert will feature familiar Holiday music including part of Tschaikowsky’s Nutcracker, a sing along and a free raffle drawing for a chance to conduct the orchestra. Emmitt will be passing out and collecting the raffle tickets. The concert has become a tradition for the Los Alamos community. There is no charge for this concert but donations are appreciated. The Los Alamos Band Boosters is hosting the Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Roll Run Sunday, Dec. 15 to raise money for the LAHS band program and the LAMS Music Program.
The fun run includes a 5K and a kids 1 mile run for age 13 and under. The run is modeled after the popular Rock and Roll marathons by featuring live music along the routes. Students from the Los Alamos Hight School and Los Alamos Middle School Bands will be playing holiday tunes for the runners.
