Foster has always been interested in drawing and painting. Starting at an early age, she took afterschool art classes at a local community center.
 
Throughout high school, Foster attended extracurricular art classes at Moore College of Art, the Philadelphia College of Art and Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. In 1990 Foster received a BFA from the Maryland Institute, College of Art.

Dance Arts Los Alamos (DALA) will offer summer dance opportunities to dancers of all ages.

During a three-week intensive (June 8-27) intermediate and advanced dancers will have the opportunity to train with guest faculty from the San Francisco Ballet School, Smuin Ballet and Tulsa Ballet. Tuesdays at the Pond begins this week with Marcos Cavalcante playing guitar at Ashley Pond Park.

Tuesdays at the Pond, a summer entertainment series, begins its second season June 2 and runs through Aug. 11. It brings a variety of entertainment acts to the Ashley Pond Park stage in downtown Los Alamos every Tuesday evening.
