Tom Gattis of Los Alamos is a singer/guitarist for the heavy/power metal band Wardog. He just announced the release of the band’s song “Clouds Of Magellan” (sung in Klingon).
 
“Clouds Of Magellan” is an old song, but previously unreleased until now. The publishment of the song is part of a 10-track sampler titled, “Metalliance – Volume 1”, which includes other bands like Watchtower, Level Fields and Killers.

TAOS—One of the oldest art colonies in the United States, Taos is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the formation of Taos Society of Artists, along with several other major milestone anniversaries in 2015.

Dozens of public events are scheduled throughout the year in celebration of these milestones beginning with an exhibition opening April 17 at Taos Town Hall titled, “Past, Present, Future: A Celebration of Taos Art Colony.”

LAAC Hosts Artful Evening Fundraiser April 18

Los Alamos Arts Council is hosting a fundraiser, An Artful Evening, at 6 p.m. Saturday at Fuller Lodge.

Pianist Ron Grinage will perform Russian composers’ works, the Blue Window Bistro will serve desserts and there will be a raffle for a tiffany-style lamp along with a silent auction. A variety of items ranging from paintings and photographs to pottery and jewelry will be featured in the auction.

LAAC Benefit Concert: An Artful Evening

The Los Alamos Arts Council (LAAC) invites the community to attend an evening of arts and culture beginning with a dessert reception and silent auction followed by a concert featuring pianist Ron Grinage playing works by Russian composers.
