Attorney General Balderas Requests Public Comment On Proposed Default Rule For Administrative Rulemaking

SANTA FE  The Office of the Attorney General (OAG) is inviting public comment on its proposed default rule on administrative rulemaking.
 
During its 2017 regular session, the New Mexico Legislature adopted House Bill 58 (Laws 2017, Chapter 137), amending the State Rules Act, NMSA 1978, Section 14-4-1 to -11, and mandating that by Jan. 1, 2018, the Attorney General promulgate default rules for public rule hearings for use by agencies that have not adopted their own procedural rules consistent with the State Rules Act.
 
The OAG is accepting public comment on the proposed rule through Nov. 30, and will hold a public rule hearing Dec. 4, in Santa Fe.
