Sparked by a massive solar storm, the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights), was visible across the nation Friday night including this scene above White Rock. While this local view not visible to the eye, it was there and captured with a 30 second exposure on camera. The image is looking North on Sherwood Boulevard and Polaris, (the North Star) is visible just above and to the right of center.
