NMHM News:
Friends of History for the New Mexico History Museum is very excited to announce author Anne Hillerman, live on stage at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 in the Museum auditorium, to present History’s footprints: Weaving the Past into Modern Mysteries.
In her presentation, the journalist and award-winning author will share how her research into the Long Walk of the Navajo, explorations of Chaco Canyon, and the history of New Mexico and the Southwest enrich and inspire her novels. Hillerman said she believes that, besides providing wonderful entertainment, good fiction also expands the reader’s world. The interplay of factual information with the “who done it and why” aspect of the mystery genre, gives her novels a texture that is distinctively hers. New Mexico’s landscape, people and stories nurture her creative spirit.
There will be a Q+A session and book signing of her books and those of her father, Tony Hillerman.
Tickets are $20. Bitly link for registration: bit.ly/4fMjIKD
The New Mexico History Museum is at 113 Lincoln Ave. in Santa Fe.
