COUNTY News:
Bandelier National Monument will begin its free summer shuttle service to Frijoles Canyon, Monday, May 19, replacing the earlier announced date of May 14.
The shuttle, provided by Atomic City Transit, runs every 30 minutes starting at 10 a.m. and will board at the Frey Trail parking lot inside Bandelier.
Unlike previous years, the shuttle is not mandatory unless the parking lots in the canyon fill up. There is no charge for riding the shuttle, but all normal entry fees still apply for entering the park. Fees are based on the vehicle visitors arrive in at the shuttle, which is not usually on a per-person basis. No entry fees must be paid if a visitor has a valid America the Beautiful or Bandelier pass.
The park’s summer shuttle service is expected to end Oct. 14, 2025.
