Los Alamos business Yoga with Jacci is now High Mountain Wellbeing. The Chamber will host a Grand Re-opening for High Mountain Wellbeing 5-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, with a ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. at 190 Central Park Square, Suite 212. Light refreshments will be provided.

SFCC Launches APRENDE Apprenticeship Program

SANTA FE — Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) announces the launch of the APRENDE apprenticeship program for early childhood education in the spring 2023 semester.
SFCC will begin accepting applications Oct. 31. The program is funded through the support of the City of Santa Fe, which approved $900,000 in funding at its Sept. 28 Governing Body meeting. The economic support is from American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Recovery Funds in support of Early Childcare Job Development Services with the SFCC Early Childhood Education Center of Excellence (ECCOE). WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senators Ben Ray Luján (D-NM.) and Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) recently introduced the Emergency Conservation Program Improvement Act to expedite producers’ access to federal disaster relief.

SANTA TERESA — Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham joined Burrell Aviation and Doña Ana County officials Friday to announce a new $72-million cargo aviation facility at the Doña Ana County Jetport.
The governor and Burrell Aviation CEO John Carver announced that Burrell Aviation will construct multiple new structures designed to expand cargo and distribution services, including facilities dedicated to air cargo handling, cold storage, distribution, and aircraft maintenance.
The new facility is expected to create up to 1,300 jobs.

The Los Alamos Job Fair held Thursday, Oct. 13 drew more than 100 job seekers to Fuller Lodge.
Sponsored by TechSource, Los Alamos County and the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, the Job Fair featured more than 30 participating businesses that are currently hiring. There were more than 100 job seekers that showed up!

Sometimes a leader has to work hard for a long time before they see the final reward.
This week, one such group of leaders will accomplish that goal as the Leadership Los Alamos (LLA) Class of 21-22 will see the finish line.
The next “best class” will graduate tonight, after an additional four months, as like it or not, pandemic elected to rear its ugly head. Tonight, the leaders will celebrate with dinner, memories of a really great year, and the acknowledgements that go
