SANTA FE — The Santa Fe National Forest (SFNF) is hiring temporary positions for the 2023 season.
Proposed start dates would be in April 2023. Applications are only accepted through www.usajobs.gov, beginning Thursday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 6.

Governor’s Wildfire Grant Program Provides $1.5 Million To Assist 162 Businesses Affected By Wildfires

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced Wednesday that $1.5 million has been awarded to 162 New Mexican businesses as part of the Wildfire Business Assistance Grant Program she created in August.
Some 100 businesses will receive the maximum award of $11,196 while other businesses will receive emergency awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,851. “These businesses, like the residents of these communities, have gone through so much this year,” Gov. Lujan Grisham said. “I hope this assistance helps these businesses move forward. Together, we will recover.” Read More

SFNF Hiring Students, Graduates In Forestry & Timber

SANTA FE — The Forest Service is hiring student and recent graduate positions across the nation.
Jobs are available in a variety of fields, including forestry, timber and wildland fire management. The Southwest Region, which includes the 11 national forests in Arizona and New Mexico, has 66 positions available for students and recent graduates in forestry, timber and natural resources.
