SANTA FE — The New Mexico Economic Development Department committed nearly $1 million last month to help seven New Mexico companies train workers for up to 46 new jobs.
The approved positions will pay between $26 and $87 per hour, with most of the jobs exceeding the national average hourly wage of $31.48.

New Mexico became the first U.S. state to guarantee no-cost child care starting Nov. 1, making services free for families of all income levels with children up to age 13.
