Council Action At Dec. 7, 2021 Meeting

Tempers flared Tuesday night but in the end Los Alamos County Council passed the code ordinance no. 02-321, which amends Chapter 16 of the County Code to adopt local regulations for cannabis retail sales as well as the text regarding home occupations.

In October, the Planning and Zoning Commission approved a recommendation to the County Council that the retail sale of cannabis be regulated as stated in the proposed ordinance.

In response to a resolution passed unanimously by the Los Alamos County Council, Hilltop House Hotel owner New Mexico Innovation Triangle, LLC, had a security fence installed Wednesday around the dilapidated property. New Mexico Regulation & Licensing Department CCD Holding Public Hearing On Quality Control, Inspection, Testing Of Cannabis Today

SANTA FE — The Cannabis Control Division of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department will hold a public hearing at 9 a.m. today, Dec. 9, to gather input on new rules as well as amendments to existing rules involving quality control, inspection and testing of cannabis.

Specific topics include licensing and permitting requirements for testing laboratories, research laboratories, cannabis consumption areas, training and education programs, and cannabis server permits.
