The businesses listed above will place a rubber duck jpg image at their businesses, and/or on their websites. New Mexico Unemployment Rate 7.2 Percent In August

New Mexico Department of Workforce Solutions (NMDWS) has announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 7.2 percent in August, down from 7.6 percent in July and down from 9.3 percent in the previous year.

The national unemployment rate in August was 5.2 percent, down from 5.4 percent in July and down from 8.4 percent in August 2020.

Total nonagricultural payroll employment grew by 32,800 jobs, or 4.2 percent, between August 2020 and August 2021. All gains came from the private sector, which was up 35,900 jobs, or 5.9 percent.
