SANTA FE — The New Mexico Higher Education Department and lawmakers are seeking to expand financial aid programs aimed at supporting New Mexicans pursuing degrees leading to teacher licensure.
A total of $6 million is recommended to sustain and expand three existing programs including:

- Teacher Preparation and Affordability Scholarship; and

The New Mexico Museum of Art (NMMOA) and the Museum of New Mexico Foundation have announced that construction work will begin this week on the New Mexico Museum of Art Vladem Contemporary on the site of the Halpin Building in the Railyard District in Santa Fe.
This moves the museum one step closer to the vision of a dedicated space for contemporary art to complement the historic 1917 building on the Santa Fe Plaza.

The New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) issued citations to O’Reilly Auto Parts (O’Reilly) for violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act that resulted in an unsafe workplace.
