Last year, the film, “Jemez: A Murder Mystery” depicted a camping trip in the Jemez Mountains going horribly wrong when someone is murdered. The movie ended ambiguously and audience members were left to ponder who the killer was. County Opens Online Platform For Local Businesses

In February, Los Alamos County hit the button to make the business and events directories on the Los Alamos County website as well as Visit Los Alamos website go live, providing a platform for local businesses and nonprofits to promote themselves and events at no charge.
Economic Development Project Manager Anita Barela said there are 71 businesses registered on the site, but hopefully more will take advantage of the opportunity.

SANTA FE — The Department of the Interior generated over $4 billion in total receipts from a Bureau of Land Management oil and gas lease sale in New Mexico and Texas, underscoring strong industry demand for domestic energy development on public lands.
The Bureau of Land Management leased 74 parcels totaling 33,530 acres during the quarterly lease sale. Combined bonus bids and rental payments from the sale totaled approximately $4,007,944,870. Revenue generated through lease sales is shared between the federal government and the states where the parcels are located.
