The community is invited to a Meet & Greet at Los Alamos Assisted Living, hosted by the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce 1-3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26.
Los Alamos Assisted Living, formerly known as Aspen Ridge, is at 1010 Sombrillo Court.
The new management team from Canyon Creek Healthcare will be on hand at Monday’s event to meet community members. Melissa Martinez is the executive director for Los Alamos Assisted Living. She has 35 years of experience in the medical field, including Long Term, Assisted Living, Home Health, Hospice, and Hospital. Martinez was general manager from 1997 to 2007 of both Sombrillo Nursing Facility and Aspen Ridge Assisted Living.
David Lemons is administrator of the Skilled Nursing facility Los Alamos Wellness and Rehab. He comes to Los Alamos from Hobbs and has vast experience with skilled nursing facilities.
“My passion and goal for the Los Alamos Assisted Living community is striving to help our residents meet their own goals by recognizing the responsibility of providing quality services to our residents in need of assistance with day-to day activities of daily living, protecting their safety, and ensure that they are happy and comfortable living in their home,” Martinez said. “My team and I are together creating an environment of love and care during their stay here.”
Martinez is working on connecting with the Los Alamos community to increase community and family activity participation, so that they may come and enjoy time with the residents.
The community is encouraged to meet the new management team and staff, see the recent improvements and enjoy some great food at Los Alamos Assisted Living Monday, Feb. 26.
