A group of students from Chamisa Elementary School in White Rock participated in an Electric Car Challenge Nov. 22 at Highland High School in Albuquerque for grades 6-8. The Chamisa students took part in the Electric Car Challenge completion, which tests math, science and engineering skills. The group performed well during the initial competition and placed 4th and 8th out of more than 40 teams. The students who participated were Amalia Duffy, Rayna Morales, Eliana Rodriguez, Cameron Haag, Malik Abouda and Lidia Appel (not pictured).
