CHART 600: NMDOH Data Indicates COVID-19 Vaccines Prevented Over 100 Deaths Per Month In New Mexico Since July 2021

This chart displays the cumulative number of COVID-19 deaths since July 2021 by vaccination status. Throughout the time period shown on this chart, the majority of New Mexicans were vaccinated. Currently, the number of vaccinated New Mexicans is more than double the number of unvaccinated ones. Based on this data, provided by the New Mexico Department of Health, and using a conservative estimate, vaccines have prevented at least 100 deaths per month in New Mexico over the past six months.
