NMMNHS News:
Visitors to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) have just a few days left to explore Chocolate: The Exhibition before the exhibition closes Sunday, March 12. Luckily, the Museum has one final treat before it says goodbye.
Since opening last May, Chocolate: The Exhibition has traced the history and science behind everyone’s favorite sweet treat. Through this interactive, two-floor exhibition, visitors have had the chance to follow the evolution of chocolate from a small, bitter seed found deep in the rainforest to the continent-spanning delicacy it is today.
Before the exhibition closes, explore chocolate at an even deeper level on our final Sweet Saturday. During this event March 11, come taste the difference between milk, dark, white, and even ruby chocolate.
Learn about the history of this sweet treat as it was transformed from a spicy drink to the decadent dessert of today. Visitors will even have a chance to view detailed folklore-themed chocolate sculptures on the Museum’s second floor.
