Col. Jason D. Allen To Take Command Of 58th Special Operations Wing At Kirtland Air Force Base June 21, 2024

KAFB — Col. Jason D. Allen will take command of the 58th Special Operations Wing in a ceremony at 9 a.m. June 21.

Allen will take the guidon from Col. Johnathan Graham, who has commanded the wing since his arrival in June of 2022.

Allen comes to Kirtland from his post at Keesler AFB, Miss., where he served as the deputy commander, 81st Training Wing. He was responsible for assisting and advising the commander responsible for training more than 27,000 military and civilians.

Graham will continue his career as the executive officer to the commanding general at United States Special Operations Command.

The 58th SOW’s mission is to train warriors in special operations and combat rescue, to professionalize Airmen and employ airpower. The 58th, which flies fixed-wing, rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aircraft, conducts Kirtland’s flying mission.
