Longtime champion of year-round daylight saving time Sen. Cliff Pirtle

SANTA FE – Commissioner Stephanie Garcia Richard announced this morning a new Executive Order mandating all 9 million surface acres under the control of the State Land Office adhere to permanent daylight saving time hours.
Sen. Cliff Pirtle (R-32), leading advocate for making New Mexico a state with year-round daylight saving time said, “I appreciate the land office taking the first step on an important issue that is critical to saving lives.”
