DP Road Phase II Reconstruction Project Update

TLC Plumbing & Utility work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday

Parking:

- - - - Parking will not be allowed south of DP Road outside designated areas south of Ace Hardware and south of the Los Alamos Fire Training Academy.

Traffic Control:

- - - - Crews will continue excavating the joint communication electrical trench between 264 DP Road and 278 DP Road and the joint gas and water trench on DP Road east of 278 DP Road towards the LANL TA-21 gate.
  - Follow all work zone signs and exercise caution; flaggers may direct traffic during certain construction events.
  - Access to businesses will be maintained; westbound traffic direction remains unchanged.

Rose Street Reconstruction Project

TLC Plumbing & Utility work 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday on Rose Street from Central Avenue to Peach Street, including sections of Peach Street and Spruce Street.

Work Details:

- - - - The project is in the clean-up process.
        
        The installation of concrete collars for utilities and pavement markings will be ongoing until August.
        
        Roadway closures will be removed with full access to the road the week of July 22.

Urban Trail Phase I and II Project

Crews will work from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, with possible weekend work if needed.

- - - - Construction of the Trail continues along the north side of Canyon Road between the Tennis Courts and Los Alamos Nature Center driveway.
        
        The north shoulder on Canyon in this area is closed, with two lanes of traffic generally maintained.
        
        Flaggers will be used when lane closures are needed for construction vehicle access to the work areas.
        
        Work to construct the boardwalk section of the trail will also continue in the wooded area by the Tennis Courts.

Overlook Park Irrigation Work Continues

The trail section at Overlook Park between Spirio Soccer Field and Softball Field 3 is closed to all traffic, including pedestrians. This closure is necessary for work on interconnecting the irrigation system with the potable water system as a backup to the reclaimed water that is typically used to water the fields. This work is expected to last into October.

Overlook Park Irrigation Work Continues

Road closure on the east end of Loma del Escolar at Barranca Road Continues

Crews have closed the east end of Loma de Escolar at Barranca Road to make safety improvements to existing ADA ramps before school starts. The west end of Loma de Escolar will be open to local traffic. Sidewalks along the north side of Barranca Road and within the construction zone of Loma del Escolar will be closed to pedestrians. Access to residential properties will be maintained. This project will continue through Aug. 1. Work will end at 5 p.m. daily.
