Coro de Camara Discusses Upcoming Show At Rotary

Members of the Rotary Club of Los Alamos recently enjoyed a presentation by Nylea Butler-Moore, artistic director, and Anne Marsh, board president, of the Coro de Camara, a non-profit local chamber chorus of 24 auditioned singers. 
 
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this season, the chorus is marking this milestone with performances of wide interest. Although Coro de Camara is best known for its exquisite renditions of classical pieces, its repertoire also embraces the diversity of jazz and spiritual compositions, as well as those that incorporate musical instruments. Of particular note is the chorus’s upcoming November 15-17 concert, Stormy Weather, a tribute to jazz greats Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Sarah Vaughn. There will be two opportunities in Los Alamos to attend this performance of iconic songs and one in Santa Fe. In the first week of May, the chorus will present Celestial Curiosity, highlighting the intersection of art and science, with special recognition of the Mars rover.
