The Los Alamos County Council tentatively approved 6-1 the proposed $18,203,873 Fiscal Year 2022 budget for the County Manager’s office during its Monday night budget hearing. Councilor David Reagor voted against the measure saying he took issue with the $1.5 million budgeted item for the Partners through Progress program. The proposed budget of $18,203,873 includes add-on options such as double filling the County Manager position at $150,270 and ERP Manager position at $61,271 so new hires can train with current employees before they leave, increase the advertising budget to support newly formed task forces at $20,000, a communications survey, $20,000, and a newly formed position titled Intergovernmental Affairs Specialist, $168,657.
