County: Cable Work Affecting Traffic Downtown June 6-16

COUNTY News:

CableCom, LLC and 2 Men 1 Cable will replace cable system pedestals in the Los Alamos downtown area Monday June 6 through Wednesday June 16.

Crews will work in the roadway on 15th Street between Central Avenue and Trinity Drive, as well as on Central Avenue just east of 15th Street. Some traffic delays in the area are expected.

Between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., crews will bore on 15th between Central and Trinity on the east side of the street, shifting northbound vehicular traffic to the center of the road and closing the sidewalk to pedestrians.

Additionally, boring on Central east of 15th, will occur on the south side, shifting eastbound motorists to the center of the road and closing the southeast sidewalk to pedestrians. Two-way traffic will be maintained for motorists, and detour signs will be in place for pedestrians.

Contractor crews request that motorists and pedestrians obey traffic control devices and use caution in the area.
