Los Alamos County Economic Development Administrator Dan Ungerleider is moving to be closer to family. His last day on the job is Monday, March 25, 2024.
“I am proud of the work the department and the County have accomplished together during my time at Los Alamos County,” Ungerleider said. “I am grateful for the friends I have made here, both in the department and throughout the County. I know our department and partners will guarantee uninterrupted work for the Economic Development Department and maintain our service to the community following my departure.”
The Economic Development Division operates within the Community Development Department and is responsible for supporting the following Council Strategic Leadership Priorities:
- Communications;
- Intergovernmental Economic Development Relations;
- Housing;
- Local Business Support;
- Tourism; and
- Marketing.
Ungerleider took the helm of the Economic Development Division in July 2021. This morning his boss, Community Development Department Director Paul Andrus addressed Ungerleider’s departure.
“We are going to miss him,” Andrus said. “He is leaving “some big shoes to fill.”
Andrus said applications will be sought both internally and externally as quickly as possible to fill Ungerleider’s position. In the meantime he and staff members Ellyn Felton and Janice Krish will share duties as needed.
