COUNTY News:

Under contract with the Los Alamos County Information Management Department, Kelly Cable will be repairing fiber optic infrastructure this week.

Beginning Tuesday, May 3 through Thursday, May 5, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., crews will be working along Central Avenue between 15th and 20th streets.

Work will impact southbound vehicular traffic on 20th Street only.

The southbound lane on 20th Street at Central Avenue will be closed to motorists. Detour signage will be in place to route vehicles away from the construction zone. In addition, sidewalks at the southwest and southeast corners of Central and 15th Street and the southwest corner of Central and 20th Street will be closed to pedestrian traffic. Individuals will be detoured to the north side of Central Avenue.

Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to use caution when driving or walking in or near the construction areas.
