COUNTY News:
Hasse Contracting Company Inc., under contract with Los Alamos County Public Works to construct the Urban Trail Phase I & II Multi-use Trail Project, started work today in a fourth work zone in the downtown Los Alamos area between the Romero Cabin and Nectar Street.
The fourth work zone area impacted is:
- Work Zone Area 4: Within the Fuller Lodge grounds starting at the Romero Cabin and continuing north to Nectar Street – In this area there will be occasional brief flagger operations on 19th St. for construction vehicles accessing the work site. Sidewalk closures within the Fuller Lodge grounds are in effect and pedestrian detour signage has been placed to direct pedestrians around the work area.
Motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians are advised to use caution around all Urban Trail Project construction activities and avoid entering the work zones.
Construction hours are planned 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be necessary if construction activities during the week are impacted by weather.
All questions, concerns, or special access needs should be sent to the Public Works Department at lacpw@lacnm.us or call 505.662.8150. Public Works thanks residents and businesses in advance for their cooperation and patience.
