An emergency repair to a water break is occurring near the intersection of Arizona Avenue and Woodland Road.

Los Alamos County Department of Public Utilities (DPU) water crews are shutting down the stretch of Arizona between Woodland and 35th Street while they work on the break.

The repair is expected to be complete by 4 p.m. today. Water customers on Woodland and Arizona may lose water service for about an hour at some point during the repair window.

Access to the Pajarito Complex has been maintained.

DPU crews have been working on an 8” water main in the area where the break occurred. That project has been extended through Friday.
