COUNTY News:
Los Alamos County’s Customer Care Center, operated by the Department of Public Utilities, will temporarily relocate from its existing offices into the Boards and Commissions (B&C) Room, Suite 110 near the stairs when entering the Municipal Building, 1000 Central Ave.
The move takes place Thursday, July 1, 2021, so the existing Customer Care space can be remodeled to enhance privacy for individuals conducting business with the County.
Customer Care representatives expect to be back in their offices by early September.
Deputy Utilities Manager Robert Westervelt encourages individuals to conduct as much business as possible with the Customer Care Center via phone, email or online once the remodel is underway.
If in-person business is required, individuals will need to wear a mask.
“We thank Los Alamos citizens for their patience as we reconfigure the space for better efficiency and privacy,” Westervelt said.
Los Alamos County’s Customer Care Center is more than a call center. Individuals can set up utility accounts, pay utility bills and property taxes, request banners for the Diamond Drive overhead passes, request permits for the Lemon Lot, purchase cemetery lots and more.
Call or email during hours of operation, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 505.662.8333 or CustomerCare@lacnm.us.
