Daily Postcard: Visitors descend the steps and ladders on a partially shaded and steep cliffside March 12 at Bandelier National Monument. Bandelier has officially entered its busy season and recommends arriving before 10 a.m. or after 2:30 p.m. to ensure finding a parking place. Once the limited parking fills vehicles will be turned around at the entrance gate. Bandelier thanks visitors for their cooperation in protecting Alcove House, the cliff dwellings and their own safety by following these guidelines: stay on the trail/ladders, limit to 15 people climbing the ladders to Alcove House, and stay behind any fencing and signs that protect kivas and other sites.
