Daily Postcard: A bug is spotted on the petal of white lily-like flowers (Zigadenus Elegans) Monday on Pajarito Mountain. Nicknamed ‘mountain deathcamas’ due to its highly toxic nature. All fresh parts of deathcamas (leaves, bulbs, flowers) are poisonous. Dried parts (seeds and capsules) are even more potent. Ingestion by humans can cause severe illness and occasionally death, even for adults. Source: www.fs.fed.us. Photo by Gretchen Mills
