Daily Postcard: How Far And In What Direction Does A Snowflake Go In One Second?

Daily Postcard: The wind was blowing with vigor and it was snowing early Thursday morning when this photo and the photo below were taken through the window of a home in Pajarito Acres in White Rock. Both were taken at 4:17 a.m., just a few seconds apart. Exposure times were exactly 1 second in both photos. In these photos you can therefore see how far, and in what direction snowflakes travel. There was a lot of wind turbulence in the this photo.  Jim Gourdoux
