Daily Postcard: A little Plumbeous Vireo on its nest Friday in Upper Water Canyon. Vireos weave little basket nests that hang from branches rather than sitting on top of branches. Their nests are often out in the open, and occasionally, vireos even sing while sitting in their nests. Three species nest in Los Alamos: Plumbeous, Warbling, and Gray (only in White Rock).
