Dr. Richard Honsinger

Dr. Richard Honsinger of Los Alamos Medical Care Clinic was honored on Feb. 25, 2024, at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology meeting in Washington, D.C. for exemplary contributions as an outstanding reviewer. He was one of five reviewers recognized by the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice.

Dr. Honsinger has conducted more than 400 reviews of research manuscripts for the major U.S. allergy and immunology journals. In November 2023, he completed his term on the Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology editorial board. He continues to serve on the editorial board of the Proceedings of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.

He practices the sub-specialty of Allergy and Immunology at Los Alamos Medical Care Clinic.  He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at UNM School of Medicine and the co-director of the Respiratory Therapy program at Santa Fe Community College. He serves as an allergy representative on the American College of Physician’s Council of Subspecialty Societies.

Dr. Honsinger has received Fellowship in the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (FAAAAI), the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI), and was named a Master by the American College of Physicians (MACP).
