Dragonfly Playhouse Daycare proudly marked its two-year anniversary with a special celebration event, culminating in a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony, spooky activities and snacks for the daycare families, and tours of the facility at 142 Meadow Lane in White Rock.
The event showcased the staff’s commitment to providing top-quality childcare services to families in Los Alamos County and the surrounding areas.
Dragonfly has emerged as a cornerstone in the local community, offering a range of services that cater to the diverse needs of families. The facility prides itself on creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, making it a trusted choice for a diverse range of families.
Services include:
- Infant Care: For babies as young as six weeks old, ensuring a loving and secure space for the youngest members of the community;
- Toddler Programs: Designed to promote early development and socialization for children aged 1-2 years; and
- Preschool: Offering a structured and engaging environment for children aged 3-5, fostering early learning and kindergarten readiness.
Beginning in early 2024, Dragonfly will be expanding to include care for local pre-K students enrolled in LAPS preschool full-time. The program will include care 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Dragonfly is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., providing parents with the flexibility they need to balance work and family life. The center’s experienced and compassionate staff is dedicated to ensuring the physical, emotional and educational well-being of each child in their care. There are limited spaces available for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.
During the anniversary event, parents and children enjoyed a day of festivities, including spooky-themed games, arts and crafts, snacks, and outdoor play time. The event showcased the strong relationships that have been built between families and the daycare’s caring and professional team.
Before the ribbon cutting, Owner Lippiatt expressed gratitude for the community’s support over the past two years. “It means a lot to be standing here with all of you. We are thrilled to celebrate this milestone and to have had the opportunity to be a part of so many families’s lives,” Lippiatt said. “Our mission has always been to provide a loving and educational environment where children can grow and thrive, and we look forward to many more years of service.”
