Applications Now Open For Northern New Mexico College’s Free ‘Fast Track To Success’ 2023 Summer Bridge Program

ESPAÑOLA — People who want to pursue higher education may feel intimidated by the demands of college-level courses. Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) can help.

Northern’s “Fast Track to Success” Summer Bridge program helps participants gain the math and writing skills they need to succeed.

Applications are now being accepted for the program, which runs June 5-July 27. Summer Bridge is open to high school sophomores, juniors, seniors, high school equivalency recipients and adults returning to college. Tuition, books, course supplies, lunch and light breakfast are provided. Read More

Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) has rescheduled three of the Preschool Random Act of Kindness – Friendship Family Engagement Nights.

The programs at Aspen, Mountain and Pinon Elementary schools were canceled earlier this week due to the weather.

Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) is closed today, Feb. 15, due to inclement weather conditions.

More snow is predicted this morning and LAPS cannot safely clear snow and ice before students arrive. LAPS also is not able to drive all bus routes. 

All classes are canceled. 

All after school programs including athletics (both home and away contests) and activities are canceled.

Peak Behavioral Health is opening a new Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for patients ages 12 to 17. Peak’s PHP is for adolescents who do not require the intensity of a hospital setting but are experiencing struggles with their emotional or behavioral health.
