More than 100 members of the Los Alamos High School Class of 2022 celebrated the sunrise Friday.
They arrived at 5:30 a.m. and had an opportunity to enjoy breakfast, music, games and each other’s company. It was a great way to start off their last year of high school with what has now become another Topper tradition.

SANTA FE — The New Mexico First Judicial District Court denied the Floyd school board’s request Friday for a temporary restraining order stemming from the New Mexico Public Education Department’s (NMPED) Aug 4 suspension of the board.
The five-member board was suspended after twice voting to disregard the NMPED’s COVID-19 Safe Practices for school reentry. SANTA FE — The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED) has announced that it will convene a working group this month to evaluate the state’s higher education funding formula.
This funding formula determines annual funding recommendations for state appropriations to the operational budgets of the state’s public colleges and universities.
