Summer 2020 STEM Camps Going Virtual!

STEM Santa Fe is hosting the Summer 2020 Camps Monday through Friday during the months of June and July.

Camps meet virtually on Zoom with parents picking up materials in Santa Fe/Española by arrangement. These camps are tailored for students rising into 6th to 12th grade.

Registration is now open but space is limited. This camp is open to Northern New Mexico students in Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Taos, San Miguel, Mora, Sandoval and Rio Arriba. There is a $25 fee, but waived upon request.

Family Strengths Network Hosts Beginning English Class

Family Strengths Network (FSN) is hosting a free remote Beginning English class for those persons that may have little to no English experience and are interested in improving their abilities.

Family Strengths Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, established in Los Alamos in 1989. Through the years, the organization has grown and provided many activities, supports, and educational opportunities to families with young children.

FSN receives funding from many resources, including Los Alamos School District, Con Alma, United Way, and the Delle Foundation.  In addition, they receive about 50 percent of the yearly budget through Los Alamos County.

LAPS Expands New Mexico Preschool Program

LAPS News:

Los Alamos Public Schools is happy to announce that it will expand its New Mexico Preschool programs for the 2020-2021 school year.

New Mexico Preschool programs will be available at Piñon Elementary in White Rock and Mountain Elementary in Los Alamos.

Each program will be an extended day program that runs five hours per day. Students will have a certified teacher and instructional assistants in each classroom.
