Higher Education Dept. Recommends $307.5M For Campus Improvement Projects Statewide Including $5.6M To UNM-LA

SANTA FE The New Mexico Higher Education Department (NMHED)  announced Monday that it is recommending funding for 42 capital improvement, renovation, infrastructure and demolition projects across 27 public and tribal college and university campuses, three special schools and the UNM Health Sciences Center totaling $307.5 million.  

UNM-Los Alamos will receive $4.6 million to plan, design, construct, renovate, furnish and equip infrastructure improvements campus wide, and $1 million to plan, design, construct and renovate the student services and success center.   Read More

Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Chairman of the U.S. Congress Joint Economic Committee (JEC) released the following statement Thursday after the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that prices measured by the Consumer Price Index increased 0.4% in September compared with the 0.6% increase in August and the 0.2% increase in June and July. Data also show that annual prices grew 3.7%, down sharply from the peak rate of 9.1% last June.
