School Board Narrows Voting Redistricting Options To 3

Oct. 19, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham appointed Democrat Stephanie Dubois to the Otero County Commission.

The former chairwoman of the Otero County Democratic Party, DuBois fills the Otero County Commission seat of former Commissioner and Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin. Griffin was removed from his Otero County Commission seat by a New Mexico judge for his role in the Jan. 6, 2020, attack on the United States Capitol. Heinrich, Boozman Raise Concern On Proposed Veterans Affairs Department Reimbursement Rate Cuts For Air Ambulances

CVNM On Receiving Letter Containing Threatening Language, Anti-Semitic Symbols; Chemical Substance

SANTA FE – On Wednesday, Oct. 26, Conservation Voters New Mexico (CVNM) received an anonymous letter containing campaign material attacking Representative Nathan Small; offensive and threatening language directed at Small, the Democratic Party of New Mexico, and CVNM; anti-Semitic symbols; and an unidentified chemical substance. Authorities were immediately notified, and the entire office building was evacuated and quarantined.

Chapter 16 Revision Project Nears Final Phase

Revising Chapter 16 of the Los Alamos County Code is nearing the home stretch. Work began on revising the chapter, which addresses development, in 2021.

Final approval of the revisions could be made by Council on Nov. 30 but to help shape the final draft that will go before council, a series of joint meetings between Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission were held Oct. 12-14.
