Are you curious about the legacy cleanup mission at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL)? Do you want to learn more about the progress made over the past year to protect our environment and safely dispose of radioactive waste? Please join us for a community meeting at the SALA event center from 5–7 p.m., Sept. 10, 2025. We want to hear from you.
The meeting will be hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Environmental Management Los Alamos Field Office (EM-LA) and its contractor, Newport News Nuclear BWXT-Los Alamos, LLC (N3B).
This event will feature discussions on:
- The different waste streams EM-LA/N3B manage as part of the LANL legacy cleanup
- The corrective action process for legacy waste, from generation to preparing waste for shipment
- Key accomplishments
