Enjoy Holiday Events At New Mexico Historic Sites

SANTA FE  Explore history this holiday season where it happened at one of the New Mexico Historic Sites that are hosting several free events.
 
Enjoy Christmas at the Bosque 4:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Fort Sumner Historic Site/Bosque Redondo Memorial. Listen to history unfold with December letters from the reservation. The evening includes supper and refreshments.
 
Take a stroll during Light Among the Ruins 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Jemez Historic Site. The site will be decorated with hundreds of farolitos, there will be music, dances, bonfires and horse drawn wagon rides.
 
Enjoy Las Noches de las Luminarias  6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Fort Selden Historic Site. More than 800 luminarias will be lighted, with holiday music, a cozy campfire and refreshments. This is a fun night for the whole family.

Behold Luminarias in Lincoln Saturday, Dec. 24, at the Lincoln Historic Site. The town will be adorned with luminarias. Santa Claus arrives on a longhorn steer. Hot chocolate will be served.
